Morning breaks into our rest
We rise from slumber to peace
The air is cool and crisp
The coffee is warm and refreshing
The loons call us to the water
We listen and pause with gratitude
The anticipation baits our excitement
We grasp our poles to hunt our prey
Our craft rests upon the still water
We launch into our life
The sun rises over the peaks
Orange, red and purple soon turn to blue
The day travels leisurely by
Tranquility rests on our hearts
Fish hook our delights
The sun warms the time
Just Abba and I
Calm upon the waters
Author notes
My dad and I have gone to upper Minnisotta (above the stress free zone) to fish. It is a very peaceful experience.
