The Bible says that life is but a vapor, that we are here today then gone tomorrow.
As the winds of time have ushered me through each yesterday, I have found today the greatest and most fulfilling breath of fresh air I have ever known.
It's so amazing to me that before the foundations of the earth were laid, God saw this exact moment. You and I together. Right here, right now.
From this day until my last day on earth, I promise to always love you. When sickness threatens you, when life's stress weakens you, When joy eludes you- I will be there- and I will love you no matter what.
I'll give you the love needed to raise a family; the strength needed to defend it; and the passion needed to nurture it.
I'll be the God-fearing husband you can count on; the shoulder you can lean on; and the provider you can rely on. Whether the hand of fortune is upon us or the dark cloud of poverty looms at our door, I will love and cherish you.
You are the sunshine of my life, my love; you are the wind in my sails. You are more to me than my beautiful bride; you are my partner, my buddy, my best friend. What a blessing to be allowed to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.
Know that I look forward to spending those precious golden years of our lives together. And when the splendor of your youth has left you, you will be just as beautiful then as you are standing here today.
With all my heart, I forsake all others.
I commit my heart, my life, and my love to you.
Forever.

Beautiful poetry here! Love the lines: "I'll give you the love needed to raise a family; the strength needed to defend it; and the passion needed to nurture it." Perfect vow to a bride...Good luck!...Lynda

I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes as I read this beautiful piece. Some of it sounds vaguely familiar, and I'm wondering if this is what you read to Ashely when you took your vows. No matter.....it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever read! This piece touches on every kind of love that can be shared by a husband and wife. I'm more grateful than you can know, Moose, that I have a son-in-law that genuinely cherishes and treasures my daugher. Your what I prayed for, for Ashley. And proof that God does, indeed, answer prayer! Beautiful, darlin'. Simply beautiful!
