Plagiarism is Illegal

Don’t take away my life
This is why I live
I worked hard for what I’ve got
And everything I give

Scare me all you want
Hurt me like you mean it
Kill me if you feel like death
Because I don’t give a shit

Everything you see
Is everything I’ve made
All of this belongs to me
And you won’t make it fade

My words are filled with meaning,
Sincerity, and passion
Everything I say and write
Is my life in an awesome fashion

Don’t make me stop this
I beg of you, please
My work is original
They weren’t made with ease

How else will the world know
Of my life and my dreams?
Poetry is my open door
For others to see, it seems

Steal my words or my writing
You then steal my soul
If I don’t have it, then I can’t write
How will I meet my future goal?

You kill a person when you steal their work
You destroy a dream when you say it’s yours
Plagiarism is illegal here
So expect a fine on your door

this is just something i made in about 10 minutes or so while talking to friends. just something random, but it comes from the heart. i hate art stealers.....

    So awesome,I love it! I love the message, your very talented.(Way more talented then me, I'm way to lazy to rhyme.)Anyway, I really liked this poem and I'm sure if you placed it on a contest on the subject you'd be somewhere in 1st 2nd or 3rd place.

    This is a powerful piece, and it is obvious that it is personal. When we work so hard to create something original, it is painful to see someone else take credit. That is why the mods on here take plagiarism so seriously! They recognize the pride that comes when one has demonstrated his/her own talent. I enjoyed reading this piece.
