Truly life has been great
I have lived a long time
I am now ninety one
I still have a clear mind
And my life is still fun
Truly life has been great
I still have the same wife
Definitely was blessed
Dear God was good to me
He gave to me the best
Truly life has been great
I have travelled a lot
Have viewed beautiful sights
Met wonderful people
Have shared many delights
Truly life has been great
So I have no regrets
I look forward to more
On Earth and in Heaven
That the Lord has in store.

Awwww
That is really sweet. Its a good poem. I enjoyed reading it. Short and to the point of course. Only thing is, I don't see a lesson learned in here, something you learned in your many years of life. If there is one or more please tell me so I do not have to DQ you. I also need you name in your AN. Thanks.

absalutly beautiful poem i love it heaps....thanks heaps for entering and good luck

pretty and simple. i don't like the line "and my life is still fun." it sounds kind of cheesy and out of place. but other than that, it is pleasant to read and a nice poem. thanks for entering.

92! My goodness but you are still razor sharp! I enjoyed reading this heartfelt and sincere piece! It brought humility and words of thanks to my heart! Thank you for sharing this and best wishes always! Happy Thanksgiving!

I am inspired by this lovely write and it could not come at a better time for me. I just returned from a hospital bedside vigil with my own grandmother; who is ninety. She could not begin to do the things you do, as her memory has been robbed by disease. Your poem gives me hope for some reason. Makes my smile at her attempts to continue taking care of me, even in illness, not so guilt-ridden I'm honored you took the time to enter this piece here. May you and your lovely wife have many continued years of happiness.

This is delightful my friend. I can only hope and pray that I live to see 91. You have forty years on me.
You are indeed blessed, you, and your wife. This is a high-spirited Monchielle. You did a splendid job with this new form. You wrote this simple enough for anyone interested to learn this form. This is great. It made me smile. I hope to live as long with my hubb,y and see many places that I haven't seen yet in the world. I also look forward to my Heavenly home. GREAT!
Thank you so much for taking the time to enter this challenge.
Much Love,
Renee

Wonderful poem, Billbard, absolutely lovely poem! This is like a prayer of thanks, and you ahve shown that Monchielle can be used for this aswell. There is a few things I would comment about, but I've sent it to you in IM instead of reciting your poem here... You have my applause, and I wish you the best of luck in the contest!
