Don't be naive. Thinking means using my brain, and using my brain is making it hurt. It's a simple action and reaction.

Yes.

Let me swallow my own darkness and leave me alone. I need to make the pain go away.
How can you say that?! You're the one that pulled me this far! You can't give in!
I'm not giving in. I still have my head on straight, and I can still make my way through the darkness.
Then why do you talk like this?
I'm still human. Just like you.

There's nothing more to it. Just make sure you keep your eyes clear when mine stop working.

Frankly, for me, the whole poem is perfectly leading to the last line. "It means I'm waiting." There are so many things to be waiting for, it just depends on the person reading to fill in wether it be a good or bad thing that's going to happen. To "swallow my own darkness" is a gift that would only tear you up in the end. Your face that you wear when the darkness is too much will only last long enough for you to break deeper than before, so we wait for the pain.

I get the impression that your talking to yourself and at the same time you are not. Like you want to sleep and let a side of you that you havent trusted take over becuase your weary of everything thats happened. Though at the same time you wish that you could not think so that the pain would simply dissappear that ignoring it works. But I dont think this is the same kind of pain that you get on a normal day to day life this kind of pain is from something more than everyday life. I hope that the road you follow leads you somewhere into a light warm and painless. ~Dragonia~
