COLORS / TAN (skin)

COLORS

Yellow, red, black, and white,
We're all equal in His sight.
Why do colors cause a fight?
Yellow, red, black, and white,
A cat's color isn't wrong or right.
Colors are for God's delight.
Yellow, red, black, and white,
We're all equal in His sight.

TAN

I am not concerned about being white.
My ancestors never got enough sun.
They were too far north and try as they might
To get a nice tan, they couldn’t get one.

Skin color is caused by the place on the globe
Where one’s ancestors were in those early days
When travel by horse and camel rather slowed
Them down so they stayed in one place.

At the equator the sun beats down year round.
Generations got a gneat tan!
Those toward the north and south poles sadly found
They grew pale for generations to a man.

Those near the equator kept getting much darker.
The children of those near the poles got paler.
The ones in the sun got black as their marker.
The ones in the shade got made white as their nailer.

Identified by color, folks now go other places
In ships, planes, trains and automobiles
Through our early generations the sun made the races
Who now live in whatever place now appeals.

My ancestors being from the north makes me white.
I do want a tan, but not everyone can.
The difference in skin color makes for those who are light
How much longer it takes them to get a good tan.

the first person i saw to begs for being tan ...
me being wheatish or sometimes brown i regret when guys prefer fair girls over me
here the concept of beauty is to JUST BE FAIR!!!
the darker girls are rejected ..now where are these dark girls gonna go? ?...everybody is different and people GOT TO accept these differentiality!
your poem is so very true ...though simple in metaphors but says all the facts for having different colored skin
    keep going
