Poetry is everywhere
There are words for everything
On land on sea or in the air
Poetry is everywhere
Powerful writings for all to share
Varied emotions they do bring
Poetry is everywhere
There are words for everything.

I think you had a little trouble with the rhythm here. The archaic use of "do" in line 6 seems to be there only to make the rhythm "work", and in line 5, one has to, as it were, count the two syllables of"writings" as equal to one normal syllable (on the model of two quavers being equal to one crotchet), which in a strict form like the triolet is perhaps pushing the limits of the prosody a little far. Still, at least you DID say "writings" rather than using "writes" as a noun, which is a practice I greatly deprecate.

Thank you for entering my St Hilda's day competition with a poem right on target as far as theme is concerned. I shall return to this piecelater, when I do my full judging - at present I am simply "presorting" the entries into 'probable', 'possible' and 'alas impossible'.
Just a small piece of general advice. It is always a good idea - however much a hurry you are in -to check "prewritten" pieces to make sure that your "Author's Notes" box does not contain material specific to some previous competition.

This is an interesting meter choice. I enjoyed reading this, no doubt. You clearly express the constant presence of poeticism, which is personally important to me, but I don't feel like I'm able to explore exactly what poetry is for YOU within this piece. I understand you can see it everywhere, but is poetry your lover, your guardian. Is poetry your savior or prison? It's certainly good control of words, but not necessarily an equal control of message. I apologize if I've completely overlooked a revealing part of this piece, but I just don't read a person inside.

Back for a final read before judging. I'll need to look further into this form of poetry as I've yet to try it but this has inspired me to give it a shot. Thanks for your inspiration and again for your entry

I hate when I'm faced with a form I know little about
Yes, poetry is everywhere and in everything. It's amazing where inspiration can come from...like one little word
Thanks for your entry
Ruth
