God, give me the strength to be
Example of your majesty.
Let me be kind while I am bold
Not leaving strangers in the cold.
Let me judge them with heart of love
Through your eyes, with tender glove.
Help me not be enemy,
But welcoming as you would be.
For if they are unsaved, you see,

Search for hope
Chance for finding
Forgiveness rope.
I wish to pray for souls unclean
Yet know my own has only been
Washed through by a Savior's blood
Not by my doing righteous rub.
So give me eyes that truly see
The hearts of men so much like me.
Let me greet them with your smile
And love them, bid them stay a while.
For, all in truth, I well could be
The only bible some folks see
