Darkness closes it's enveloping hands
Slowly around my heart
As the pain and anger well up inside
Tearing me apart
Feelings that have been long dismissed
Emotional battles lie
Are stirred up once again from within
As my soul begins to cry
And silken tears stain my cheeks
Running slowly down my face
I gather up the darkness again
And it's cold embrace
When someday the light appears
And hope shows in my mind
The binding chains that I have felt
Will heal only with time
The enveloping clouds of darkness
I must fight what they have taken
And clear the emotional battlefield
Allowing love to re-awaken
For only when I have fought my own war
And in myself I can confide
Will I be free to love again
As the darkness steps aside

wow..i love this! its absolutly amazing! u always have to fight not matter what ..love is hard but once its there..it'll be good..and i abslutly love how u worded and showed ur emotions..good job and good luck in the contest..i think u've got a very great chance at winning! and keep up the good work cuz i am definatly going to be looking for it!
