Etude

Failing leaves, and the
Ripple floorboards
Ring with foot-stamp
To the bright radio

Radeuse...Light from chinks in the floor
Where the stamp of twirl-bodies
Ring as ascending ripples,
And knock pale leaves to ground

He took his leave
Radiation sicknesses
Against cancer, and the still pond
Upon which footfall ripples

Iron in rainstorms (titan's heel)
Fatal from her grove
And we peeled up the floors
To find bright treasure

The leaves fall
Through the floor
And to my feet
In a brilliant pile
