Sweet Seduction

Sweet seduction
by a heaven’s boon,
not conquered yet,
but I wish to be, pretty soon.
The undying flow of
love and kindness,
frightens my cruelty
with its calmness.
Unable to predict any predictions,
……………… Sweet Seduction.

Temple’s purity,
purified by her feet.
A magical magic
makes nature all neat.
Strong soldiers
make sure I stay.
Awesome attraction
wins the matter of clay.

She is a holy, sacred
truthful truth.
Not a dimensioned
delusion………
……………… Sweet Seduction.

- Vichitra Joshi (J.Vic)

Author notes

This poem was actually made in November, when i visited the Poetry Workshop organized by my State University. We were sitting on the bank of the river, Narmada ( she is beauuutiful ) and enjoying the natural scenario. Then suddenly our professor ordered us to write down a poem on that scenario and i came out with this poem.

I dont know if it deserves or not, but this is my most popular poem ever. Everyone in the workshop loved ( or acted to love ) this poem. The best thing was, instead of calling me by name few people called me as "sweet seduction" itself ( of which i feel very proud, i wont forget those moments ever ). And there was more to come, this poem got selected in a "Poetry Enactment" , in which I,Myself, got the chance to speak out this poem on stage . Many well-known regional writers were present in this poetry workshop, and they seemed to have like this poem much, or on the other hand, there may be a possibily that i was just being encouraged more because i was the youngest of them all, but in either case, tee hee, they made me happy.

Strong soldiers = Mountains surrounding the beautiful Narmada River.

Matter of clay = ME .

Thanks for reading.

Take cares and have a nice time.

This is a great poem, for it expresses something few can do - and that is hard to put in words. I read this one several times, and each time got something, a feeling of the awesome power in nature.

Well I thought I should return the favor and, since this is your most popular poem ever, read this one. Of course, it's all downhill from here now. Was this translated from another language? Just curious. I appreciate the notes you left on this. They help in understanding the intricacies of the piece. It takes me to far off lands. Thanks for the mini-vacation!

I think there's a reason it's popular..More than anything else..the wonderful flow and the usage of words, It has the ability to lull you into thinking that it's something you can identify with, and actually, it has so many layers, I can interpret it the way I like..That's what I love best about it

Kudos to you my dear sweet friend!!!!!

Vic, You are Sweet Seduction in my eyes. Your words are far beyond your years. I see why everyone felt the way they did about this as I am in awe of the beauty I just read on this page. You took my breath away with your words so deep. You see the beauty around you and then you express it magnificently.
I am so honored to have met you here and I hope we will always be in contact. You bring light and love to all you touch. This flowed as peacefully as the narmada river that you spoke of. I'm almost speechless. Not totally!
You just seduced my heart and won it with this write. I wish all could look at life through your eyes and heart, our world would be a much better place. No matter what life throws at you or how down society may be, don't you ever change. This is another masterpiece added to your collection and I thank you for sharing it with all of us. This sounds like it should win the gold and if I were judging it would be at the top of my list. Much love and blessings for you my sweet seductive friend, today and always.

    Beautiful

Well Written,Theres some deep thinking ,good imagery and though i have not seen the river i think it must be beautiful and pure ,The poets inner reverence for Nature and the essence of purity is depicted well.i loved the lines"Temple’s purity,
purified by her feet.'"There is a slightly magical rhythm underlying the words.

I doubt very much if anyone would fake their love of this poem. It is truly beautiful.

You captured the feel of the river and its beauty. Water is indeed a seduction. All we want is to dive in, swim in and have fun in her. She is powerful with that seduction.

Do not doubt yourself by wondering if they just faked anything. That would not have for this is wonderful.
be proud my son. Hold your head high and let it be know that you are indeed
Sweet seduction. Just like that river. Everyone loves you and is seduced by your charm and personality.

WELL DONE......CONGRATULATIONS on achieving that honour and accept it as being what you deserved.
