As a rape victim myself, I can identify really strongly with this. You've summed up the 'recovery' experience to about the point that it can be expressed in words. If you ever need to just rant at someone, feel free to message me.

thanks for teh comment B3 and yes this poem expresses how i felt for an entire year after i had been raped. I realize now that i felt that fear only because i was living with the visual memory every day of my attackers physical appearance. How, you ask? i was engaged and living with my attackers brother. Once i came to accept this reason as to why i was not healing right i packed up and left him and have been on my own and healing well since.

If you let the predator keep you in fear like my 3rd cousin, then they win, for that is what thrills them.Your poem expresses hurt and fear, but dont live in fear or you wont have a life.

thanks and rofl @darien ...just let your english teacher worry about your spelling. I am 38 and i still find that i mispell words on occasion. Thats what makes us all perfect, not. So sorry to hear that your mom passed away. She still looks after you even though you have a mean stepmom now. Believe in your moms spirit and you will be protected.

wow what emotion put in this i cant even try to imagine what it felt like to go through this try to feel better we all are here if you need us we are all here to listen we wouldent try to judge you the pain is easy to foget about but there are scars inside that need healing ive been through a rough time myself my mother died 2 years ago and i have an evil step mother who punishes us for the stupidest things but its something i have to deal with on my own. i miss her more everyday i just wish it would have never happend but fell free to cheak out my poetry if you would like its not very uplifting or great but we all are here 4 you supporting you none of us should get punished like that but its a great peice > did i spell that right lol im in 9th grade and i cant spell isnt that genuss lol i did it aGAIN i cant spell or type lol c ya

SO HEARTWRENCHING YET SEE A LIGHT IN THE FUTU
This is one of tremendous emotion, I can only imagine how it must have been, I could never fully understand. But I will always be willing to be here for you whenever you feel that need to talk or just to have a friend to joke around with. Please never fear for I would never do anything to hurt you in any way. I am so happy that you feel a little more comfortable now.
