Two Friends

I have two friends, fair o’ face,
Sharp in wit, yet full of grace
Sans their choice, spirit sister ‘n’ brother
In their choice, love one another;

She is one of Latin fire,
He is tested by her ire;
He is one to jest in spirit;
Pokes her heart and sets to jeer it;

They have a love to stand against time;
By it I believe, He makes His rhyme;
And while life has its fit,
They stand together and love through it;

I’ve seen their torque and twist of heart;
As darkness seeks to tear apart,
For their love was meant to praise
Their source of love, God’s gracious rays;

Could it be the Lord would choose it,
To have a love not just for music,
But to use it to praise His name,
Together they would proclaim His fame?

I for one would rejoice
Their coming together, for it’s my choice;
I don’t think their love is hazy;
Even if they drive each other crazy;

So dear brother, concerning our sister;
While your romance is a twister,
I’ll rejoice when you’ve kissed her
At the alter, when you’re her mister.

Author notes

This is about two very special friends, a brother and sister in the Lord, who have a special love relationship. Their both musicians, he plays guitar and sings, and she is a phenomenal singer. It can get pretty temptestuous for them, but I'm hoping they make it to the alter, if they don't keel over first.

    Amen, this is amazing, God bless you man. This poem was beautiful It reminds me of my relationship, and how Gods been moving in it. I mean God is awesome, he is amazing. I loved this piece. And hehehe I'll have to agree with you on this, Everything you write has been fact, lol Hehehe hey God bless you man.

    Nice poem, it flows like a storyline and captures the reader. Its nice to know that the poem has truth behind it becuase its always nice to read something that isnt fictional.
