Rain

The rain hits my window.

I lie upon my bed, late at night.
Everything is dark.
I don't enjoy the darkness, but the rain somehow comforts me.

I find rain intriguing.
How does it fall from the sky?
Why does it make sunny skies turn dark and yet stay beautiful?
Why does the feeling of the rain hitting my face and the sound of it                           hitting a solid object make me feel happy?

How do the clouds hold it?
I'll never quite learn how.

Maybe depression makes me happy.
Maybe my depression is affected by the rain.

I'll never know,
Nor will I ever let the rain go.

Questions don't need answers.
I don't need answers.
I only need the question:
Rain.

Author notes

It's raining outside, so this just came to mind.

Kinda random and dumb, I know...but it's still cool.

Well..this is random...but it is indeed "cool". It makes me think about the rain..and how it does indeed affect the realms of depression.

    Good work.

Yeah. I did that so you could tell it was all still one question because it was separated into two lines because of how long it was.

Thank you for the correction, but in your poem, the word hitting after "sound of it", is not there.

First off, you mean "It doesn't make sense", not "since".

    Second, read it again:
Why does the feeling of the rain hitting my face and the sound of it hitting a solid object make me feel happy?

I'm a little confused, how is rain a question; and, on lines eight and nine, it doesn't make since, eigth line:"Why does the feeling of rain hitting my face and the sound of it, ninth line: solid object make me feel happy?" But, it was good.

...Rain isn't a question... lol But good poem though. I don't understand why darkness doesn't make you happy... or why depression DOES make you happy...
