Between every day and night,
Every minute is a fright.
All that escapes my mouth is air,
The silence of my soul is bare.
The fight between body and soul,
Has made speaking my number one goal.
Eagerness to utter even a single sound,
Prayers that help me lift off the ground.
Although I may never speak,
Not a second of any day nor week.
The mind of my body is full of life,
Help me learn to speak and soar like a kite.
Every night while the moon shimmies up,
Reasoning then answers and fill the empty cup.
Silence is my life.
Author notes
The silence of my life.
