Humanoid Round Mass Protuberances

Humanoid rounded mass protuberances
born of philosophy, literature, music, and art
are now encased in the computer-generated outer shells
of shuttling spacecraft between Earth and Mars.

Secret information suggested, contrived
from Greek to Latin to Jupiter by decree
now unleashed in ion rockets bound for the sky
as the illiterate lose grip and fall to the sea.

so what of the protuberances protruding at 90o
from the bows of the ships of these cosmic Portuguese?

Exploring in space, ahead of their race,
passing through doors, disembarking on shores
(rrarrrggg!)
hitherto unknown, as their courageous fates
remove the locks from celestial gates...
The Marco Polo’s of the outer limits
carry back to us distant planetscape fare...
hazarding alien abduction and alien seduction
flying on the edge of their sensory hairs...

as moon phases change and terrestrial dust storms rage

the dawn of new ages are revealed to us there...

Quite the graphic display you have created for us here - certainly different from any poem I've seen on this site since I joined. Kind of think though it's easier to concentrate on the pics and graphics rather than on the write itself.

This was neat, it's different from most other poems I've read, and the use of pictures really helped convey the overall message of the piece. I liked it, good job!

This was pretty funny! I am not sure that alien seductions would be so hazardous though I am suceptable to seduction. In reviewing your works, you seem to have a vast vocabulary. Perhaps you would enjoy a sonnet that I recently wrote. It is one of my more articulate pieces. Thanks!

Yes this is a good piece. I like how you used visuals to capture the essence of the piece as a whole. They really captured the idea you were trying to convey. Its a wonderful piece.
