Shahrzad

The first time I met Shahrzad I thought she was awfully nice
A quiet devoted Moslem a pleasant mix of sugar and spice
She causes me warm feelings with her bright and happy smile
A numbing deep impression that I’ve known her quite a while
Quite pretty and unassuming  with a grand and graceful air
Crowned by a neat shining tidy mass of flowing jet black hair
Always friendly and very helpful with manners that also match
Her gentle poise and beauty your attention she’ll surely catch
Beaming warmly but with kindness never brassy or even bold
I’ve never met another one who is from the exact same mould
Her considerate personality is true perfection in the extreme
While honesty and compassion complete this stunning scene
For me to be your adopted Dad is one of my greatest pleasures
Your precious friendship is far greater than any worldly treasures

I came to this page from Shahrzad’s page. Actually she’s my AP sis and I love her and whomever she loves! She is indeed as sweet as sugar and her hugs is sent whenever they are needed.
Shahrzad is really a lucky girl to have such caring dad. (My AP dad left AP and doesn’t write me anymore )
Sweet poem from the tongue of a caring dad. Thanks for sharing with us

This was a lovely tribute to lovely lady. I don't know very well yet but I'm looking forward to learning more about her and reading her work. This was so deftly worded that I didn't realize it rhymed too. Nicely done.

    Regards,

What a beautiful tribute to Shahrzad She's such a sincere friend, with a heart of pure love and friedship.

Did you know that we share her as our daughter? Hmmm... so, since she's a princess, that must make us king and queen

I'm currently in the middle of a comment on your author page but decided to read one of your poems before I finished that comment... so back to it now and I'll read more of your poetry afterwards.

(and I'm glad you decided to stay with us )

Excellent poem.. I'm just all over Shahraz poems today! And it was of course her who first reached and started all of this. Great poem, I'm sure it does her justice.

    Fantastic! A+

Well, congratulations on adopting Shahrzad as your AP daughter! She truly is sweet and has always been there for me to talk to. You used a wonderful rhyming scheme and described her perfectly. I love how you took this poem and made it from the point of view of a parent...for they believe their children, for the mostpart, to be perfect. I loved this piece and wish you the best with your future writing! You are going on my favorites!
