When I want to get rid of my anger,
and I want to get rid of my pain,
I write about it to let it out,
Until I feel I need to write again.
When somebody dies who's close to me,
or somebody leaves me behind,
I write about what I'm feeling,
and write whats on my mind.
When people at school laugh at me,
when I just want to curl up and die,
writing helps keep me going,
and the most that I'll do is cry.
Instead of talking to people,
I'd rather write it down with paper and pen,
once I've written about my feelings,
I always feel better in the end.
So they're the reasons I write,
whether my poems are good or they're bad,
I write when I feel down,
and I write when i feel sad.
and I want to get rid of my pain,
I write about it to let it out,
Until I feel I need to write again.
When somebody dies who's close to me,
or somebody leaves me behind,
I write about what I'm feeling,
and write whats on my mind.
When people at school laugh at me,
when I just want to curl up and die,
writing helps keep me going,
and the most that I'll do is cry.
Instead of talking to people,
I'd rather write it down with paper and pen,
once I've written about my feelings,
I always feel better in the end.
So they're the reasons I write,
whether my poems are good or they're bad,
I write when I feel down,
and I write when i feel sad.

I really like your poem because I can realate, in that, I like to write when i'm feeling down. I also like how you kept the length of each line about the same, and used rhyme without making it look like you looked for words that rhymed then put some other words in and called it a poem.

Writing is a very very good release. It's a bad thing though that you don't want to talk to people. Sometimes if you want things to go away you have to talk them out. Not to mention that when you're older and want to get a job you're going to have to know how to conduct an intellegent conversation. Good Job though! Good luck!

You have expressed your sentiments very well - I think many of us follow the same path in doing that - helps get rid of some of that stress we feel inside - (change needed -what's, wrote=written)

Writing can indeed be a release, a comfort a way to express our most inner feelings, Wizzy Jo. You've helped us to see exactly what drives you to write
It's that way with me as well. I especially like the first stanza of this well written and expressive poem.
Good job
Thank you for entering the contest and good luck

Hiya babes!!!!
I quite agree about the writing, it helpsget the emotions out. Those unwanted feelings that we don't want. Sometimes it does us better writing than talking cos we can express ourselves freely

Good write. It's good to express yourself through writing.
I hear what you're saying about talking to people, but still if you want to talk to someone, I'm here.
Nicely written.
