My dilemma

Every now and then,
I am faced with a dilemma,
Whom to choose!
To represent me in Parliament.

They promise to serve but rule,
They promise to give but loot,
They talk of unity but divide,
They pose clean but act corrupt,
The only introduction,
I have of them.

Election after election,
I am forced to vote,
For someone,
Unknown to me,
I want to know about them,
Their background,
Their qualifications,
Their service record,
They are not willing,
When law asked them,
They changed the law.

Till when,
I will be forced,
To cast a negative vote.

Great piece. It seems to me this situation is happening in America as well as in your country. The flow as you describe your feelings about society works well with your thoughts. Good job!
