Humans.

Humans instinctively want,
They never have enough,
They follow they're greed,
They always want more.

The human race by instinct kill,
Some for love,
Some for land,
But in the end, its for greed.

They think they don't have what they need,
They need nothing but food, drink, housing,
They reach into each others pockets in the dark,
And in the end they know not why.

Humans, despicable yes,
Honorable few,
Uselessly endlessly greedy,
And completely overwhelmed by the veil which covers they're eyes,
GREED.

Author notes

ok i took option 2 and this is how i feel about most all humans, but i do find a few who are not such as these, and i know not how many of you are, good hearted, greedy, predujice, all your choices, i know how to live as one with myself, and i need not greed to survive.  till the end brings us together we all live apart.

Well hun, you have a few grammar errors in here, for example your "they're"s. They're means they are, and I think in most places you meant 'their'. I had a hard time finding all of the sins in this piece, though I did enjoy the last two lines of the poem. Thanks for entering!

    Good Work!!!

I can so relate to what you pen about humans, because I look inward always, and try to be so unlike what I feel sometimes, lol.. I guess to keep ourselves in check, and to become a better species, we should pen stuff like this all the time, and I for one, truly, check myself often!!! I love my dogs so much, the reason why I bring this up, is, I'm thankful for the love they give me, and the better you treat them, the better they treat you...now, I have family and friends, it's not that way with, it's like, the better you treat them, the worse sometimes you get treated, almost like they take advantage of me, kindness for weakness I always say! But hey, this is most human nature, as you say, and thanks again my new poetic friend for sharing you, great job!
