A Desperate Disguise



She breaks
And tears rush down her face.
The water droplets from another source
Show them which path to take.
Then she hides her eyes
With her wrinkled fingers,
A desperate disguise
As sorrow lingers
And confusion consumes
What faith she has left.
Composure is gathered
As she pulls herself together
Thinking there is nothing more to do,
Except to solemnly surrender.

I constantly write about this lady in a shower.
I guess she could be me...

    Jen,
    I haven't talked to you in such a long time. I randomly decided to go on allpoetry today and see if anyone commented me and someone commented on a poem that you commented also (got that?? Lol). How have you been?? I hope everything is great, I really do. I am still dating Adam, it's been a bit over 2 years. It has been rocky, I will tell you that, but we are still going strong together. I forgot that we are the same age (right?).. I start going to college June 22nd!! I am starting the the summer because I kinda had to in order to be accepted to the school I want to go to.. But I guess it's good because I'll get a head start! I'm getting pretty anxious and nervous. I haven't written any poetry in such a long time it seems. That doesn't mean I won't write again, ok! Lol.. but it's weird because I seem to have lost my way with writing poems, yet I still find very very interesting topics to write on.. it's just a matter of writing it. I also find myself thinking up phrases and stuff like that, which aren't bad--but I don't know. I still play bass guitar, I don't know if you knew that or not. I love it--but yet again, I haven't done much with it recently because I have been so scatter-brained and busy. I do hope you get back to me. This poem was beautiful by the way. I loved it.
