Runneth Over

Have you seen the space where
Nothing resides
Thoughts creep and crawl
Into the mind
There's no darkness
No light
No life in sight
But my cup runneth over
Bliss, into the night.

It's a wonderful spot,
I think you'd agree
So come share my world
Fall into it with me.

Thankyou for submitting this poem to my contest. I really liked your first verse and I think the poem is just about complete without the second, but I'm not it's author. This entry is different from the others because it talks about inspiration as a place and I'm glad there's some variety.

    great

    Haha. I don't know why.
    But goosebumps for some reason.
I love this, it's not long and drawn-out with un-necessary stanzas to just to fill up room. It's perfect. Gee. Good job.

Intriguing! The ending was of a little surprise to me. Even if one were to interpret as the depth of darkness, there is still that ray of light and being a wonderful spot! Interesting! Enigma

Amazing how so few verses can convey so much. I would think this poem a great one to start a book. Filled with your poetry, and this one as an opening, Just gives me that feel. Also, remember in order for something to be nothing, it has to be something Thanks for the read.

This is a really tranquil piece. Almost like a lullaby or a lover's request on a romantic invitation. I really enjoyed this. This is a really good write. Great piece. - cgirl0410
