The teacher was trying to teach words beginning with letters.
"Who can give me a word beginning with "A"?
Johnny shot his hand up.. but she called on Mary.
"Apples taste good" rang out the sweet toned voice.
Thus it went on until the teacher got to "I" Johnny was by now squirming and wriggling in his seat so she called on him..
"I is.." he began only to be interrupted by the teacher.. "I am.. I is is very bad grammar.." Johnny shrugged and changed the sentance...
"I am the ninth letter of the alphabet"
