Oh, dear Lord, we pray for this one,
Who You, by Jesus, made him Your son;
By this same grace, on which we all stand,
Lift up his head, by Your sole command;
Under the cross, we stand on level ground,
By Your Son’s blood, our lives are made sound;
There is no one to stand above another;
But our good lot to stand for every brother;
So we await for Your gracious hand,
Show him continued love, as You have planned;
In Your good time, set him upright,
To rejoice in You, with holy might;
The glory we’ll see, is not for him alone,
But for all Yours, to heal every bone,
Which You have broken, to set us straight;
You’ll make all things new, for You are so great;
These tears are Yours, which have been shed,
In comfort remembered, for this He bled;
With great joy, You’ll have us to stay,
And with great love, our tears wiped away.
Author notes
For a weeping brother. I know the pain...
"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."--Revelation 21:4
