Despairing Brother

Despairing brother, with righteous cause,
The Lord awaits, with holy applause;
For you to act in rightful trust;
To respond to His goodness, this is a must;

There is good reason for your present state,
Even if you wonder if He’s wiped the slate;
Just wait on Him, He’ll bring to past
What sparks woe in you, with joy to last;

For weeping endures for only a night,
Joy comes in the morning, and that with great might;
You’ll see His great love, you’ve known for so long,
Seeing this truth will make you so strong;

It is prayed He would show you many great things
Unknown to you, to make your voice sing;
A glory that’s His, to your benefit,
He’ll share with you, to stand in it;

As all the saints, you’re dearly loved,
By our great Father, in heaven above;
To you, it’s our pleasure, to emulate this,
And with you, we share, this eternal bliss.

Author notes

For a brother who's going through a difficult time, as many of us do from time to time.

"For His anger is but for a moment,
        His favor is for life;
        Weeping may endure for a night,
        But joy comes in the morning."--Psalm 30:5

    You know Moof. I can't begin to tell you how thankful I am for this poem. I have been so down all day today. I mean, I haven't allowed myself to be down like this since I was Saved. I have been strong. I have always been there for everyone. I have always been the one to bring a smile to others. But now, I can't even smile myself. I can't even feel joy. I feel pain. Sorrow, and sadness. Something I thought no longer existed in my life. I screwed up, I did a few things wrong in my past. And now I am really reaping what I've sown. I am so lost for words to describe my pain. I just hurt. I can't stop crying. I am desperate for help. And this poem has just really helped me some. So thank you so much for reaching out to me and praying for me. I hope in due time, my grieving process will end. But until then, please keep praying for me. I love you brother and can't tell you thank you enough!!
    God Bless You!!
