The pattern of love

I've been saving pieces
for years...
cut cloth
of old jeans
and shirts
and pillow cases.
Scraps of memory
thrown into a box
and saved.

Piles of pieces
before me now
ready to be stitched
and sewn
and quilted.
Ready for the loving hand
to make it into something new.

Something that will cover me
when I am cold
and old.

The ragged edges of each piece
will fit together
as if
they were made for each other.
They will from
the pattern of love
I've waited years to know.

    Excellent!

Fantastic!! I loved how this flows. I enjoyed feeling what you have written. I compared it to broken emotions and all made whole by love. I enjoyed so much. Can't wait to read more.
