The one who made everything
I lift my prayers up to You
Hear my cry now, oh Lord
You know of my pains
You see my sufferings
You hear me screaming
You taste my salty tears
It is you who sees me
When no one else sees me
When no one else hears my cries
You hear them, so hear them now
I can’t do this on my own
I can’t keep trying to be in control
This isn’t working for me
I need your help now more than ever
The world is caving in on all sides
Chaos filling my depths of my mind
Unbearable torment happening in my soul
You are the only one who can end it all
I’ve been trying for so long
To live my life on my own
But now I realize it’s impossible
For you have given me life
Bring peace back to me now, Lord
Give me the strength each day that I need
Heal my past wounds that continue to hurt
Just let me be your child once again
Amen
Author notes
A quick write, yet I know it was inspired by God. I had no clue what to write, but suddenly this just came to me. This is really personal to my own life, but hopefully others can relate.
I hope you guys enjoyed reading it.

Wow. This is............ I don't know. I can't describe it. This is a prayer that I should've prayed a long time ago, but I never did. I should've said those exact words, but I don't know. I don't even know what to write.

This is very inspiring. I'm not very religious, but I do believe, strongly in God. I have been in the place you are talking about here. And it's such a comforting feeling to know that He is with you. Amazing.

Intresting for me to come accross this now. I really like it, like you said, poetry is a great outlet and it describes me very well right now. It is simple, no frills, but very sucsinct. I really am glad I came accross this. God bless you. *~*

Thank you so much for your comment!
I can't believe how well this prayer turned out when I wrote it in such a short period. God is amazing isn't he?
Thanks again for reading!

Heartfelt prayer. I resonate with the lines on releasing control. I really like the stanza describing what He sees, especially the salty tears.

For all that we do to be done right, it must be done IN THE LORD. One of mans biggest problems is trying to do it on our own. We may start off leaning on the Lord and waiting patiently for His guidance, but then we get all caught up in ourselves and move ahead of Him. A very personal and truthful prayer. Thank you for sharing..

Oh Sharcu, He will help you if you just let go. There is a light yoke to replace the heavy one you now wear. This is a beautiful prayer that any one of us could use. My favorite line is: "You taste my salty tears." Wonderfully creative.
Thank you for sharing this. Best wishes in the contest. Shancy. -
Nice. I can tell that its inspired. I know that I can relate at least. Ive been struggling with letting God take control in my life for some time now. Its a hard thing, but neccesary.
