Lying here, dying
inside, bleeding
from this
new wound.
Is this the end?
Tried, I have, to
run away, but day
and night, it still
haunts me.
is this my end?
Exhaustion, the pain
finally all setting
in, and my light
fades to dark.
So this is how it will end?
Drifting off, beyond this
realm, finally peace
has been found. No longer
will I run, I finally
excepted it's terms.
And so my end, my death is
now complete.

A/N: This is about how well all try to run from the cold hard truth. We all are gonna die. So think of this as some one going through that situation and then finally coming to terms in the end. As always. Enjoy.

I enjoyed this piece very much. I, too, have written pieces talking about how we cannot escape death. The flow was very nice and I love how you put a question at the end of each stanza except the last one. Very creative. The imagery was also very vivid, which helped the poem come alive for me. Well done
