To Lead Or Follow
There are people that are wicked
and evil some are just straight
Satan himself.
Stealing and lying depriving
of others, because they are
not happy with themselves.
To make them feel big and bad
and in control they waste their
energy on trying to destroying others.
When selfish and petty things
arise the righteous thing is
to step a side.
Reassuring yourself that you will
not become one of them and in time
karma will come and nip them in the bud.
One who walks and lives in crime will
eventually do the time, and there is
no one to blame except themselves.
Never forget that faith is
what makes us live
for tomorrow.
That the things of the past are
just not a mistake, but a lesson
we all go through in life.
Just knowing that there is
something out there waiting
for all of us.
It is what lies within that
we cannot see or
touch, but feel.
It is the calm that comes over us
when we are angry. It is the hand
that caresses our face when we cry.
It is the belief that everything
will get better when things go wrong
and the sign we need to keep going on.
Faith is the helping hand needed
to help understand why things
are the way they appear.

Thank you Windsong for reading and for giving your honest opinion.Mistakes are lessons, not defeats and unfortunately for some they are so miserable with their own lives they have to creat havic for another to feel they are in control. I am so glad you felt the way I did when I wrote this. Through the years, I have been used, siolen from talked about and ignored. I always there to help and never asked anything in return and I learned from all these things It is sad to see that some people are the way they are but thank you for holding this contest it helped a lot to cleanse my soul..God bless Brenda

WOW! Windssong is right, this did bring a tear to my eye. This is so open and honest and full of hope and love and I thank you for that. I have read this several times to get the full impact and it gets better and more meaningful everytime I read it. I was sitting here trying to figure out my favorite part of this and if I had to I couldn't because the whole thing is great. There is so much truth and wisdom in this piece. Thanks I am so glad you enjoyed it. It is ashame that some people are the way they are. Just remember a positive and a negative will always make a negative. Nothing good will come of it. I too think of the burdens and why do things happen to me. but I decide, I gave it my best, and I refuse to become one of them and play their game.Take care..Sorry for babbling..

im at the point in my life...yet again when im thinking about all the bad and all the pain and hate in the world why should we carry on but this makes me think of the good side of things. i realy like this poem well doen
