Anarchist Poem #1 (Congratulations)

First you take a person

then you take his house and his food

(and his water, too)

then his tools, and his school and his car

take the lawn and the drapery, too

then you take his brain

and then you have taken the person.

Then tell him that this thing you have

this thing called "money"

is that thing that he has to get from you

to get his life back, but he isn't really getting his life back, he's just getting his money, which is really your money because you'll take it back anyway and then you have

a death upon death.
