I Love Australia, it’s the best in my opinion.
All of my life I’ve been an Aussie true blue
Married, I have 4 children who soon grew.
Am now a Great grandmother and proud to be;
Unshakable is my faith I have in my country
Sydney is where I live, all nationalities have moved here
They settled in quite well and join us for a Tooheys Beer,
Reckon we are laid back, but by golly we sure can work;
As for our wildlife! Kangaroos, Wombats, Dingo’s that lurk
Lizards, Koala’s, Cockatoo’s, Tasmanian Devil to name a few.
I love this country, growing up was great in my point of view;
Anyway African Group just prove to us you’re the best
Now, taking on the Aussie Group we’re right up to the test.
Take us on in our Challenge games, you’ll find we can compete
Rest assured my dear friends we’ll be very hard to beat!
Utterly thrilled I am at the thought of us working together
Everyone has a chance to excel, I wish you the best- whatever!
Because it’s all in fun that we created this challenge to run
Let’s get the ball rolling, bring out the pen and paper and have fun.
Unless you want to join us, become true blue Aussies just like us?
Eagerly I begin to write for the Challenge ahead without any fuss.

Looks like a fun challenge...it had better be since I have agreed to help judge. lol. National pride rings throughout your poem but even more so, friendship is heard in your words. Would this be the right time to chant, "USA, USA, USA" Sorry, actually I'd chant, "Maine, Maine, Maine."

G'Day Aussie Acrostic Queen AAAJ There really are Tasmanian Devils? I thought that was just a cartoon series. I could tell that you love Australia by how well you did writing this. The words were not forced at all and just flowed from your fingertips to page.

Dear Joan, this is great, awww and now that I live in New Zealand I'm not eligable, but never mind, I'll read all the Aussie entries. Sometimes I miss Aussie land, but then I look at Heath and know I would miss him more.
