Jessica

You used to be just an ordinary teacher,
One who made all the students laugh,
A kid at heart, everyone could tell.

You became someone more special to me though,
For you took my heart and soul,
And helped me through.

You became a sister I adore,
Everything was good in you,
For you made me laugh.

Not just making me laugh was good,
But you helped me through my life,
And gave it your all.

Yea, you got to know me,
But you came closer in to me.

We had the good times,
With the camera fight,
And you always tickling me,
And me just attacking you.

I never knew you could be brought in,
But now you are a new member in the family....
I'm really going to miss you!

Author notes

This is made for Jes... my 5th grade teacher... then everything changed.  We let her stay at our house for a few months while she was finding a new hourse.  We became good sisters, and had a great time... I'm going to miss her greatly...

    great content!!!

Hi I like the heart of your poem, but if I were you, I'd change the structure some to present a more melodic structure by making it more brief and straighten out syllable counts...

    Like this...

    Just an ordinary teacher-
    Made all the students laugh,
    A spirited kid at heart.

    Became something special-
For you took my heart and soul,
    and happily helped me through.

    Became a sister I adore,
    Everything was in you good-
    For you made me laugh.

Not only did you make me laugh-
You helped me through my life,
And gave my concerns your all.

    We had really good times,
    With that camera fight,
    Tickling Me, and attacking you!

    Stranger not for long,
Your a part of my family!
I'm really going to miss you!

By making your syllable count better, you enhance the flow of your poem and readers do not stumble over your words so much!

    Many hugs!
    Kal
