Will You Remember Me

Missing image
"If I were dead tomorrow
would there be much sorrow

Would you remember me
or forget my existence and just let it be"

If I said I was done
and didn’t want to go on
would you ask me to stay
tell me there is a better way

If I were dead tomorrow
would there be much sorrow
would you remember me
or forget my existence and just let it be

People come and go
some we love
others we barely know

In Ancient Egypt it was said
that those remembered
are never truly dead

So keep those you love
very close to your heart
and then from you
they will never part

~Lady Raven~

I love it, sis! I can almost hear this as a song. You know, like a sad sound but with a mystical sound. It's an amazing write! Makes me see death more beautiful than ever. But then again, my mind is made that way.

    Beautifully done

This is a very beautiful piece of writing. I would love to have the sort of talent you have being that my poetry is plainly somewhat...childish...I believe may be the word for it. I find your poetry to be quite interesting and I wouldn't be surprised if I made comments on a few of them.

'In Ancient Egypt it was said
    that those remembered
    are never truly dead'

This reminds me of a quote in 'The Crow' at the very end where the little girl, sarah, states 'If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on, is to never stop loving them. Buildings burn, people die but real love is forever.' and I think that really relates to your poem. I'm sorry, I'm sure that's pretty bloody random...but I guess in the end, all I really need to say is that I really enjoyed this and I hope to read more from you soon.

    Blessed Be.

Wow, first let me say what a neat picture that is. Okay, now for the poem. I absolutely loved it. The flow was very nice and the meaning was wonderful. It gave a sort of peaceful and serene feeling to me.

    Brilliant

Very multi-dimensional. It reminds me of the times I tried to end my life. I'm glad I was unsuccessfull now thou. It saddens me though that a heathen such as myself could survive a gunshot wound to the head because of the ridiculous amount of drugs in my system. This poem really puts death into perspective. And that's comin' from someone who's died 4 times.

Very well written Lady Raven. This poem holds so much truth. I really believe that if we choose to never forget then that person shall live forever, in our hearts. However it does baffle me that as time goes on, people will go on and eventrually life is like you were never in it at all. Magnificent write, keep it up and thanks for sharing!!!
    take care friend - L.S.

    wow

This is really beautiful. I actually think I learned something from the words. It's true too, 'that those remembered are never truly dead'. That's an awesome saying. I mean if you just try to forget about someone you loved that passed away because it hurts...it's just going to hurt worse when you do remember them. Anyways, this is a great peice and I love the picture too. Like always, you're great! Stay strong and write on sweety!

So easily written, these profound truths that we all know to be just that. Quite the picture to go with all this too. Lovely package.
