The Guilty Night

How I watch the stars move
about the night sky. The old ones
fall like rocks off a cliff.
They seem so innocent. And
yet they see everything that goes
on. Everything that happens at
night.
The day is guilty, but yet knows
of nothing that happens.
How can this be....
STOP!!
For time is dying, and so
are you, and so is the world.

Author notes

Just a piece that I wrote 8 years ago. Can't even think why I wrote it or even if it ever made sence to me. Anyway here it is.....

This is quite fine! I am so impressed by this poem… made me really appreciate your talent. The imagery here is so fine! A poem that makes the reader think and admire. Amazing thoughts, really.

Thank you very much for your comment. This is by far the weirdest (if thats a word) poem I have ever written. I thank you for hosting another contest.

    Great

This is an excellent write. A nice display of emotion and I love looking at the stars...so of course this made sense to me.Keep up the great work. Thank you for sharing this with us...although you forgot the reason for writing it. I guess it doesnt matter, as long as the words were writtin. Keep up the most awesome work.
