Night's Beauty

Tickled softly by the light of the moon
Nature sleeps among wise trees of the night
Leaves gently flow to the calm breeze
All that is lovely, remains in sight.

Unblemished stars shine on the water,
And those who see it are drawn to silence
For it's simple beauty compares to nothing
A perfect scene in night's sense.

Peace in the air of the dark sky
Wondering why the sun must come
When this already holds the truth
Light reveals nothing, but what we've done.

It is here where we see
How things were always meant to be
The real reality
Of our destructive humanity.

So let the night reign
Over this hushed realm
Take in it's natural presence
While you still can.

There is profound truth to this that I admire well. When the dawn comes to take over a peaceful night, the shining light will only show the reality of the present. This is a magnificient write that I enjoy so much. Thank you for entering and best wishes in the contest. Eris
