I have taken you to a place that only dreams can imagine
I have conducted interviews with only the brightest stars
so that they could see
they will never outshine your brilliance
The trees have found that their silhouettes cannot
they cannot compare to the aura of your image
They have expressed a jealousy
that you are to proud to show
I have lassoed the moon
from high above the clouds
to tell the man that lives there
that you brought me higher that he will ever be.

wow...someone's in love! I love this poem...it reminded me to that song that George and his wife singing in that old Christmas movie which for the sake of me I can't remember right now but I know it will come back the moment I post this message! it's the one with the angel and whenever a bell rings an angel gets their wings one!
you've evoked some really pretty images in this poem, Charna...I love the silhouettes of trees and all of the moon and the stars as they played in this poem. really good writing and enjoyed the read!

I hope the moon did not get jealous.......to think being lasso'ed and told your man could bring you higher then it......I supposed the moon will still shine ever so bright.....for you have brought its beauty to shine on you both......compliments of the heaven of stars that bring a glow to your hearts.......lasso me a star.....if you will...I want to be right there with you.....enjoying the nightlights of heaven.......wonderful thoughts bring me to shine....

Wow thank you. It's funny because I had a dream last night that I wrote a poem about lassoing the moon, and then I saw this picture and I thought that it would fit perfectly. Thank you for your comment, you have no idea how much that means to me.

brilliant
dear oh dear oh dear.... you atrociously brilliant author you...
this is one of my favourite poems, ever.
i looked at the picture afterwards and my god... what a picture it is... but what a picture you paint with this aswell.
if i had ANY negativity to say about it, it would simply be the formation of the second stanza, which i would put like this....
The trees have found that their silhouettes
cannot compare to the aura of your image
They have expressed a jealousy
that you are all too proud to show
but that, was if i had any negativity to say
which i don't
because your structure is your structure, and that's what makes your poem yours.
did i mention fantastic?
good god....
