Change - Time and Eternity - Heaven

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."  James 1:17  (King James Version)

"For I am the LORD, I change not."  Malachi 3:6 (King James Version)


In Heaven there is no time as is here,
the uniform motions of matter here so clear,
measured by God's standard as they appear,
earth's rotation, a day; orbit of the sun, a year.


"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years." Genesis 1:14


Everything physical in this world changes
at different rates of motion it all rearranges.
Relative to the standard based on earth's turning,
Time is our measurement of changes churning.

When God said, "no shadow of turning,"
This eliminates this earth's journeying.
Heaven will be made of Spiritual forms
Who don't have to move for what each performs.

It is the material world that changes with motion.
Principles, love and truth, all the great notions,
Attributes of God; they DO NOT CHANGE.
Though immaterial, throughout our experience they range.

Here they are expressed through material.
In Heaven it will be much more ethereal,
In Heaven expressed by thought ALONE
Between us and to God upon His throne.

In Heaven we'll be recognisable from all sides,
But there will be a UNITY of minds.
In Heaven there will be NO SECRETS at all,
Which means no lies and deception will befall.

God created time for this material world.
When BORN OF THE SPIRIT we become eternal.
From the loops of infinity our spirit is uncurled
Into time unending with The Divine Paternal.
