I still have two hotdogs left.
Why group buns in eights?
Why not tens?

Author notes
I remember hearing about this on a cartoon once, so I admit it's not an original thought. However, these questions really do intrigue me!
I actually heard the answer to them once, too: (1) one leftover hotdog ALWAYS falls on the floor, and (2) the other is for the family dog!

Excellent Wrting
Another cute, clever one!
This poem from your Front Page just knocks me out:
~~~~~~~
He Is My Song (Hosea 2:14-16)
What greater grace is there to see
Than that of when my Lord chose me
To be His own eternal wife,
Though I have lived a harlot's life;
With words of love, in softest voice,
Forever He has made His choice-
And on that day I wear His ring,
He is the song that I will sing.
It is SO VERY beautiful. --Ellis -
Like this quinzaine - why not? Have been trying this form out a bit too in some of the contests asking for this kind of poetry. Good write.
Just wanted to say "THANK YOU!" :-D
lol....ive asked that question many times......its a well known fact......that one pound of dogs is ten and a pound of bread is 8 .........guess you have to buy an extra loaf of bread....for them last two dogs....unless you do what I do.....put two dogs on a bun.....split them in half.....the dogs that is.....
Funny. Very funny!!
That is sooo true-we usually buy things in tens and by the dozen-who thought of eight? Maybe the bun people did. Cuz then you have to buy another whole pack to have enough. It's a conspiracy!!!! Thanks for this clever entry and best wishes in the contest!~vj
