A wave of confusion has taken away our sense of restitution
innocence was seen drowning in the media
and through the television we were subdued to heartache
a heartbreak of confusion
Why are our eyes so swollen
swollen with the beliefs that we are and always will be
a democracy?
A laughable place of injustice and hypocrisy
and we are being hushed through megaphones of lies
spinning through the Innocent's lives
but yet we tell our children to say these lines
lines and lines of lies
"Liberty and justice for all"
Except for the ones that cannot afford it...

Yeah, it is a sad state of affairs how our "justice" system works in this country. Perhaps we've gotten too spoiled and think we have earned the right to be greedy and selfish. Our selection of tv shows to watch certainly points to this, with reality shows and world wrestling federation, ad nauseum.
You've touched on one of the pet peeves of my own with this write. Keep 'em coming!

PREACH IT SISTER! The patriot act was intended to silence the true patriots. The constitution lies bleeding on the whitehouse and too few notice. Great write.
Peace, Rob -
