I was lost and alone, a long time ago
Bitter betrayals still fresh in my mind
I resolved to bare my feelings no more
Never thought a true friend I'd ever find
And then you came along, like a fresh breeze
Turned my world around with your goofy smile
With you alone, I feel totally at ease
Knowing that, for me, you'll walk that extra mile
I want you to know, I care just as much
And for you I'll fight until my last breath
I may not find the words to say it as such
But you are the only true friend I've ever met
