Et Cetera

It's almost like living in a daze
Like watching everything through a T.V.
Every so often interupted by static
Trying to change what's happening with the remote
Only to realize the batteries are dead

Everything seems so undisturbed
Not even the car horns on main street break the peace

It's like one of those days where you feel crazy
But you're not quite insane
It's one of those days
Where it feels like you're watching the sky in fast-forward
It's one of those days where you want to rip everything to shreds
Yet lay peacefully thinking about everything you've fucked up over the past year

It's like piercing your arm with a knife
But with each millimeter that the blade goes in
You feel better
Until you realize
The blade is sticking out the other side of your arm

It's like a kiss that burns your skin
But you can't help from wanting more

I feel like a mouse
Dancing on a sleeping cat's head
