Every second we lose a life, only to be burdened by gaining one
Everyday we take on new tasks, learning from the mistakes we've begun.
Life moves fast, only we can control the speed that it goes
Life gives us tunnels, and only can we control the length they grow
Life for me was a tangled tree, with branches crossing each way
Until you walked into my life, the meaning was left astray.
I always kept myself strong, in religion, and what I believe
I even sometimes questioned God of what purpose am I to achieve?
The tree was bare without a care, until I met someone awesome
Now small by small, so stands the tree and flowers begin to blossom.
So what purpose is there for me to achieve but merely helping to guide
I can't part two seas for you, but only hope I can provide
A strong loving one that will listen, when your branches are entwined
Forever a friend from beginning to end that will help you remind
The best friend that we can have, will always have our back
He'll watch us and protect us even when we're under attack.
You can hide him, you can lose him, maybe even bruise him
But he'll always be on our mind.
But if you climb to the top of the bare Redwood Tree,
He'll always be the one you find!
You walked into my life, and strengthened this knowledge
For that you'll always be cherished.
Don't ask me why, or how you might've did this,
Just know that my gratitude will never perish.
I only hope that I can achieve the mission sent to me from our Lord
And that's to strengthen everyone, so one day we'll all see a reward.

love-ly
you read this to me on the phone the other night. words and feelings are coming to my mind and each time they come, there's no paper to write down all that have meaning, but i want you to know, that feeling... it's here -
Interesting idea this, to have no rhyme at first, and then use thyme when life becomes meaningful...
But I think you have a typo in line 12: surely it must be "seas" (plural) not "sea's" (possessive singular)?
