Many trees line the streets
each house so warm,
windows like eyes,
all doors are
closed.
Curtains like a theatre
of lights and shadows
are keeping voices
showing us only
shivering
figures.
Snow on the dark branches,
frozen wintry blanket,
in imposture to be
diamonds.
Birds under the eaves.
Bristled bodies
are whispering
soft lullaby
with beaks
under the
wings.
Evening.
My Street under
the silvery and mystic lights.
Crystal field between me and home.
Frozen grass is whispering
snappy song under my
lonesome footstep.
White pastoral.
