Don't you be afraid
have no fear
the old times gone
the new year's here

what will happen
this coming year
days will get longer
spring will be here

so watch the ball drop
tick tock

The idea for this came years ago but about a month ago I started working on it in bits and pieces and I finally posted it here as a work in progress to get it in on New Year's Day.  The act of posting it, featuring it and getting my first comments inspired me to mostly finish it about an hour later.

    With all the repetition and lyrics it could certainly become a song with some modifications and good music.
