Angels in the sky
Angels flying above descend to earth
Never alone arriving here from birth
Gathers around in times of strife and need;
Eager always to help perform any deed.
Let them enter gently into your heart
See what miracles will begin to start.
I wish you could see them flying above
Never far from us they answer with love.
To know the love of celestial angels
Hear the tinkling of their angelic bells
Escape to their divine realm to dream.
Sit under the rays, relax beneath the beams
Kaleidoscope of colours to energize;
You know, we have Angels on earth in disguise.
Author notes
From before we're born a guardian angel is assigned to us, and stays with us even after we return to heaven,
You only have to ask them for help, they cannot interfere unless they're asked to. So, if you need help, talk to your Guardian Angel, tell them your worries and desires.
They are there to serve YOU.
Angels don't always come from above, there are all kinds of human Angels here on earth, who were placed here to help mankind, so if a stranger smiles at you, smile back..for it could be an earth Angel

Hi Timmy, thank you my friend for your lovely comment, I never used to rhyme much but with the help of my friend and teacher on AP Hugh Wyles who loves to rhyme, now it's becoming easier for me to do it.

I love angels and have wrote many a poem for them too. I have a guardian angel, I'm still here

Dear Joan, Your Angel Acrostic is lovely, and I know how much you believe in Angels, having been to your house and seen for myself all the beautiful angels through your house and the energy you have in the house, it's wonderful to walk in there and feel such peace, and I've also seen Shani and Wendy in your meditation room, how their eyes dart around the room. Dear stardazer15, your guardian Angel is always with you, just ask them to help you when ever you need it, everytime I can't find anything, I ask them, and a thought comes into my head, like the other day, I spent half an hour looking for my brush & lipstick, I asked, they said the car, I said, it wouldn't be there so I gave up looking as I was running late, wouldn't you know it? they were in the car! So, I listen now. sometimes if I don't get an answer I ask them to tell my husband, and they do and he never believed in them before. He watches our two cat's playing with them and watches how their eyes dart all around the room, animals have no problem seeing them. Believe in them sweety, they will help.

What a great acrostic! The lines come natural and have a wonderful rhythm. Loved the subject too. It's a comforting thought as we believe that an angel is by our side to hold our hands or to help us to get up when we fall.

This is very lovely, angelica. Acrostics are always such interesting things to read and to write...I have tried my hand at several, one rhyming, and I know that they are VERY hard to rhyme and keep a steady beat and such things. You and Jay have both tried something that freaks me out. He wrote a Cento and you wrote an Acrostic...I've tried both and have given up blaming everything under the sun but my lack of ability.

I know this to be true of angels. I can see mine with a quick sparkle in the corner of my eye. He guides me, steers me away from harm. I love my angel. You made me know him even better. Jonathon (a gift from God) smiles knowing that you know what I mean. This is a blessed poem. An even better acrostic. Superb!

It is not surprising that angels are real to you because, if I ever met an "earth angel", it is YOU. I know no other person who is so qualified to use the sobriquet "ANGELICA".

Never fear them my sweet, there is no such thing as evil or bad, or fallen angels. I have actually seen Angels 3 times when I've been very ill, and soon I hope to see them around people like some of my friends do.

Dear Joan, this is a beautiful acrostic, with wonderful description of images and sounds. I have thought that angels have a frightening appearance, since they are reported saying not to fear. Your picture suggests otherwise.
