Crying out to His father
Suddenly betrayed by a friend
Led away by roman soldiers
Accused falsely in court
Everyone is against him
An angry mob, screaming
“Crucify Him! Crucify Him!”
“This is my blood of the covenant...."
Thirty-nine slashes bringing him close to death
A crown of thorns placed on his head to mock him
Crying… screaming out in agony… a tear dropping
Anger and rage pouring out with every slash....
“Which is poured out for many....”
Knowing that this must be done to save all
The death of one man to bring life to everyone
Looking through teary eyes at his crying mother
Hoping she understands why he must die....
“For the forgiveness of sins.”
Nails pounded through flesh into wood
Looking into their hearts, asking God to forgive them
Taking the sins of the world only a perfect man
Gasping for a final breath....
“It is finished....”
Author notes
Then when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, It is finished! And He bowed His head and gave up the spirit.
(John 19:30)
This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
(Matthew 26:28)

Really reminded me of the Passion of The Christ,
every single time I read something like this I get the urge to cry since I instantly get the mental images. Your fault. Definitely. But good write indeed. Now, allow me to try that signature

I know, that He came to earth to be the Ultimate Sacrificial Lamb, but it still sickens me to know what He went through for US...for our forgiveness. No one at all deserving, but His love is so precious. A beautiful write. Thank you for entering.
