Aphrodite of the Night

Falsely lured into dark; like a lamb to slaughter
Blackness amid me
I see nothing
I hear nothing but the whisper in the ear;
The words yet unclear
The cold daunting breath on my neck
Who is this ghastly phantom; who I have yet to see?
Who is this figure of clandestine; who whispers me such arcane things?
To whom I might inquire is this; who appeals to me so?
This over powering seducer, who seduces me with mere words
This blurred image; this blind sight, that lies so near
The soul onto me; grasping, yet barely a touch
This immense charm; my infatuation
The ease of tension, the overly pleasure of transience
The ecstasy of unknown
It is all but exhilarating; purely indescribable it’s pleasing
Heart quickens, pulse pace, bloods race
Its hunger mature is infantile nevermore!
Hunger for what inquiry?
My Love?
My Blood?
Hunger its ganders ponder stricken
Lust for blood, vitality, thy own essence!
The velvet red out pouring,
The draining lay limp I be
Blossom of humanity shrivels and dries within
I fight my nature brings
When slowing pace death and life waken
When body lie in debris and soul cleanse free
Cast upon the flames of night
Blacken thorn rose and weeds within
Immortal night I ravish at your beauty
Eternal damnation thy came; I marvel upon you
Tis only advent
Alas pain, torment obsolete
This whispered gift of curse
This hollow kiss of death
Given to me by thy Aphrodite of the Night.
