Reflections

All the days are nearly past for this year
I approach the new one with gladness and fear
The last one wrought with too much strife.
It was just too much to bare in just one life.
First my dear sister was taken away
Then my car crashed and all I could do was pray...
God answered my prayers and saw me thru and let me live.
Then it was my hubby diagnosed with leukemia which  suck your
blood like water through a sieve.
I adjusted to this  and then was told
Hubby has diabetes and that his heart is too old.
Come  what may come what might
I'll make it through another night
Because God is always in my sight.

    Heartrending

Such a poignant poem, written at the end of an extremely difficult year! I can't even begin to mentally grasp the sorrow and emotional pain that you must have felt during 2005. How deeply you must miss your sister! Hopefully, you were not badly injured in the car crash. To add physical pain to all that you had on your plate at that time -- unimaginable!

You faith has obviously helped you through your difficulties. I hope that 2006 has been a better year for you and that your husband is holding his own against his physical challenges. He is blessed to have a loving, compassionate lady at his side. Surely you are the sunshine in his life.

An excellent write that makes one think and reminds the reader that most of the “problems” we think we have [Dang! A flat tire!] are small and insignificant compared to those who have taken on the most difficult challenges life can offer.

Awe Linda this is such a heartbreaking poem but I was glad to see at the end that you have not lost hope... He, our Creator is always there even when it seems that we are totally alone. Thank you for sharing a piece of your heart with me and for the wonderful gift of your pen. We (Steven and I) will have you and your family on our daily prayers... for your husband's recovery and your own dear. Blessed be, Nena.
