My central axis is collapsing, I'm breaking down from inside.
All these feelins that I'm holdin are sayin I should go hide,
Cover my eyes.
I know they can't see me cry, But I feel it's too late.
My river's run dry
From all the days that I've stared them straight in the face
Tellin em I'm alright, but I've had better days.
There's too many ways that I could change this-
None for the better...
For better or worse.
They say these crazy vowels and honey-moon in a hearse,
Buried in the dirt to live out their lives:
The living dead are grateful, I'm sure,
But I'm not one to concur.
And I'm so subtly insecure that I could write a pretty poem
On a perfect little mirror in the nasty school bathroom
To halo my reflection, but it'd be perfect fiction.
I'm the best story teller you'll ever meet
Cuz they've all believed me---
Up until now, cuz it's my time to come out.
I'm showin you how to weave your words into an opaque blanket of intricate lies-
You can't decipher it
And I use it to cover my eyes.

I'm hiding from you.
I don't want you to see inside.
The window to my soul is not through these eyes... But my words.
