Walking out the door, only looking at the floor

Walking out the door, only looking at the floor

breaking the words you said down in my head

waiting to take another breath again, but you stay in my head

as i turn i see you and know that your smile will always make me go wild

so im leaving now without knowing if our love was like the eternal fire.

There's a lot of poems in this contest, veering on to the subject of parting as such. In this case, I feel is a soon to be built relationship. Nice word choice!

This is a nice write. I know that there are times in my life I can relate to this. Wondering *if*. Thank you for entering the contest and good luck.

Very nicely done. Sometimes we have to walk out to keep from being hurt. ~Jim
